A MOUNTAINS AMPHITHEATRE
This hike completes your experience in this area of the park, if you already did the Laguna Cerro Castillo Hike. This is a long day trek to the upper valley of Estero Parada. A beautiful spot that is surrounded on three sides by jagged peaks of the Castillo Range, where we can spend the entire day exploring the area.
NEW ZEALANDER CAMP HIKE PROGRAM
Early in the morning we head to Estero Parada Entrance of Cerro Castillo National Park. From there we begin to ascend gently until we reasch Porteadores Camp. We continue our hike through the forest to finally entering a meadow next to the Estero Parada. From there we will view of the entire amphitheater of hills around: Cerro Palo, Cerro Chocolate, Punta Duff and Cerro Castillo, among others.
If we arrive early and with energy is high it is possible to continue up valley to visit some glacial lagoons at the foot of the mountains, transforming the hike into a long trek.
